Ruth Dearnley, Managing Director (Principal Consultant)
Ruth is a social change strategist. With academic qualification in social anthropology, she is passionate about understanding how change happens. As a consultant and adviser she has built and implemented robust frameworks for measuring advocacy and influence, increasing public participation in social justice issues by helping organisations address the ‘values-action gap’, and improving organisational efficiency and effectiveness.
Ruth has held senior leadership, advocacy and external affairs roles in INGOs, NFPs and business associations across the UK, Australia and southern Africa - specialising in labour exploitation, child protection, ethical consumerism, and international and community health. Before founding Influence Global, she led World Vision Australia's public advocacy department. Ruth is currently CEO of Birth for Humankind. She is Acting Chair of Stop the Traffik Australia, a member of Darebin City Council's Womens' Advisory Committee, Melbourne Women’s Fund and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

They have a particular specialisation in child rights and protection. Influence Global has worked collaboratively with Embode on projects related to qualitative research and evaluation.

Emma Pritchard: Evaluation specialist
Emma is a highly regarded Monitoring and Evaluation expert, specialising in the not for profit, Victorian community legal and international development sectors. Her evaluation practice extends from community-level to large scale, multi-country projects (including in Thailand, Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam).

Lisa Hodson: Writer; Editor; Communicator
Lisa is a writer, editor and social observer with experience in publishing, higher education and international development sectors. She has 20 years’ experience managing, collaborating and problem solving with creative teams on written and visual communication projects.
Using clear and simple language, Lisa is adept at turning complex material into engaging and informative communications for target audiences. Her specialities include: writing; structural editing; proofreading; stakeholder management;and change communications.
Christine Vrahos: Social Marketing Specialist; Public Campaigner
With a Master’s degree in Marketing and 17 years’ experience in not-for-profit public campaigning, communications and social marketing, Christine excels in creating innovative ways to engage diverse audiences.
From 2009-2017 she led World Vision Australia’s public engagement work on Maternal, Newborn & Child Health, including Theory of Change and campaign design, to tactical delivery. Her proudest moment was achieving international recognition for the development of the First 1000 Days campaign video, which was then translated into 15 different languages to promote breastfeeding around the world.
Tiff Kwan: Graphic Designer; Event Producer
Tiff's aim in life is to bring joy through spectacle. She is not just any graphic designer and event planner, she creates and produces experiences where people can escape from their every day realities and leave feeling completely in awe, invigorated, and inspired.
She has worked for the likes of Coca Cola Christmas in the Park (NZ), The Court Theatre (NZ), World Vision (AUS) and The Salvation Army (AUS).
Joelle Stoelwinder: Education writer; Curriculum developer
Joelle is an acclaimed educator, with extensive experience designing and delivering training and curriculum resources in a wide variety of contexts. She has specialised in developing and delivering training and education resources for primary and secondary school teachers and their students, with focus on global poverty and international development issues. She has published and presented extensively at conferenced. She is a qualified teacher, former workplace trainer and holds a Cert IV Training and Assessment.
Elissa Hill: Communications Specialist
Elissa specialises in health and not-for-profit communications. Her experience has been cultivated through a combined 12 year career as a postgraduate-qualified public health practitioner and communications professional, working with a diverse range of organisations from big-name NGOs like the Heart and Stroke Foundation Canada, to small social enterprises. Elissa is skilled in communications strategy and planning, writing, social media, and knowledge translation. Her passion is working with organisations that are making the world a better place.
